Makati City in the Philippines may seem to be all business and no play, but at LPL Suites Greenbelt such a notion is proven wrong, especially once guests discovers the city’s fun side. If you happen to be planning a trip to the premier business district, here are some great things you can do during your free time.
1) Visit the Ayala Museum. It’s always a good thing to soak in a bit of local culture and history wherever you go. There is always something new and fascinating to learn, and acquiring knowledge of the place you are visiting will enrich your experience significantly. At the Ayala Museum in Greenbelt Park, you’ll get a glimpse of Philippine history in its exhibits, as well as some excellent art by local artists.
2) Eat at the Salcedo Saturday Market. This is every gastronomic adventurer’s dream destination. Open during Saturday mornings until 2 in the afternoon, the Salcedo Market in Salcedo Village is the place to go to enjoy a wide variety of local and international dishes. Numerous stalls offer a delectable range of treats that include European, American, and Filipino food. You can even eat right on the spot at the tables that have been laid out under the soothing shade of the surrounding trees. It is also where you can go shopping for fresh vegetables, fruits, and fish.
3) Go mall-hopping. Makati is a shopaholic’s heaven as well. Whether you’re ready to splurge on luxurious brand items or just seeking a good bargain in general, you will find a mall that will easily suit your budget. The Greenbelt malls for example, is where you can find more high-end brand names. The Landmark, Glorietta, and SM Makati malls on the other hand, offer a more balanced range of stores that cater to all shoppers. All of these shopping complexes also have a fair share of restaurants, cafes, and bars to hang out and dine in, and even cinemas can be found in 2 of them (Greenbelt and Glorietta). Best of all, these malls are conveniently located within walking distance of each other, so you can easily indulge in some retail therapy without having to travel too far.
In order to engage in these activities, you will want to find a place to stay that keeps all these sites within its general vicinity. An appealing option is LPL Suites in Greenbelt Makati along Legaspi St., Legaspi Village, which is just walking distance to all 3 destinations. Happy exploring!
